Adios Cancer!

Well, my basal cell skin cancer surgery is over. Finally. I went this afternoon and got it done. The doc cauterized and scraped out the cancer. I thought she would have cut it out and stitched it, but I guess that is not how they do this kind of surgery. The doc says it will heal up to a pink scar then eventually turn white. Good riddance!
I want to thank everybody for their prayers. It meant the world to me that everyone cared, prayed and thought of me. I found out that skin cancer of this type is not that big of a deal, but the fact that people were willing to get behind me and support me anyway was a terrific feeling!
Now I hope to get back to some baking!

In your sign, I was going to make a pun. "All that is missing is U".

So glad to hear that all went well.

Yay! I'm so happy for you. That's a big relief! Now start your holiday baking!

By the way, check out my daughter's blog if you get a chance--MagicBeanBuyer blog. The link is on the left side of my blog. She's an artist but she often writes about cooking food like you do. She's got something on there now about some food she threw together. She's always very creative. I have to remind her again to come here too. I think you two will like each other's cooking!

I'm so happy to hear that your surgery went well. So now you can relax and enjoy the holidays! I'm looking forward to seeing all your Christmas baking recipes. I love to bake this time of year and enjoy giving out the results (what we don't eat, that is!)as gifts.

Beth- thank you! I'm glad it's over too. I'm not good with medical stuff, even though I've had a lot of procedures and surgeries. Just hate them every time.

I am hoping to get my baking list completed this week and get started baking next week. I can't wait to post some of the recipes and to see what everyone else is making too. Everyone has such great ideas every year!!
